GENERAL ASSISTANT

We are looking to recruit a Top Class General Assistant with a minimum of 2 AA Rosette experience. The primary duties of the role are: Working behind the bar, assisting in our Award winning Restaurant and Bistro, taking orders, serving drinks & meals and delivering first class 5 star service in all areas. Also preparing bills, cash handling and some breakfast shifts.  As the successful candidate you will be immaculately presented with good written and verbal communication skills and have a keen eye for detail.  A proactive, “can-do” attitude with strong customer service focus, be flexible, organised, helpful & approachable, a team player who is passionate about customer care with an outgoing confident persona.

RECEPTIONIST

The Horseshoe Inn is the only 3 AA rosette establishment in The Scottish Borders.  Only 40 minutes from Edinburgh, it has a loyal customer base. We are recruiting a Receptionist to work day shifts, evening shifts and weekends to cover the full time Receptionists days off. Main duties are: Answering calls, processing booking and delivering first class 5 star service in all areas.  Candidates are also responsible for balancing of day’s business & checking guests in and out, preparing bills, cash handling and some general admin duties.  As the successful candidate you will be immaculately presented with good written and verbal communication skills and have a keen eye for detail.  You need to be proactive, with a “can-do” attitude, flexible, organised, helpful & approachable, a team player who is passionate about customer care with an outgoing confident persona. Experience is not essential but service with a smile is.  This job is full on and will only suit a candidate who can keep up in a fast-paced environment.
